Vaccinations are an important part of maintaining your pets health and for preventing serious illness.

WHAT DISEASES ARE MY PETS COVERED AGAINST?

Dogs: Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Para-influenza virus.

Cats: Cat flu, Feline panleucopaenia and Feline Leukaemia virus.

Many people also choose to have their dogs vaccinated against Canine Cough  before boarding in kennels or enrolling in training classes.

Rabies vaccine is obligatory for pet dogs and cats travelling abroad under the Pet Travel Scheme. (http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/quarantine/)

At Flynn Veterinary Centres we reccomend the following vaccination schedules:

PUPPIES:

First vaccine minimum 6 weeks old.

Vaccine interval 2-4 weeks.

Second Vaccine minimum 10 weeks old.

Animals more than 2 months past booster due date require complete vaccine course again.

KITTENS:

First vaccine minimum 8 weeks old.

Vaccine interval 3-4 weeks old.

Second vaccine minimum 12 weeks old

Animals more than 2 months past booster due date require complete vaccine course again.

ANNUAL BOOSTERS:

Given every year from the date of the last vaccine.
